I uninstalled CS6 and The Adobe Creative Cloud first, then installed OS Sierra on my iMac, then reinstalled CS6, then did an update from Bridge, and to my grateful surprise it also put on Raw 9.1.1 which allows Raw to work from my AR7 Sony Camera. Before everything, I had left the eight Nik Collection softwares in a Folder in my Applications Folder.
When I opened Photoshop CS6 the Nik Collection was in Photoshop. Everyone one works perfectly and much more quickly. Then I downloaded Adobe Creative Cloud. As a retired Professional Photographer I am so grateful as I love the Nik Software. I use Photoshop CC Ver 19 the last version. Two things here: 1.
Updating Photoshop to the latest version. I copied my Google folder from the previous version, which contained the NIK apps & pasted it into the Plug-ins folder in the latest version, Adobe Photoshop CC 2018. This made the NIK collection work as before in my original MAC OS 2. Updating the OS. Once I had run the MAC OS update to High Sierra, I discovered that NIK Collection no longer worked, as per the rest of the posts. However, I found that if I used the selective tools, drop down menu, as supplied with the NIK Collection, all the NIK collection then worked OK. One thing I noticed was that on the return from the NIK app when selected within the filters menu from within PS, it always crashed.
This seemed to be due to the work being done partly in NIK and then finished in PS. However, if done from the selective tools menu using NIK’s own drop down menus, the app handed back to PS upon completion of the adjusted work, thus overcame the problem. I Have not tried it with LR.
